I had high hopes for my stay but was ultimately disappointed. The views from the room were excellent, and the hotel had a certain charm, but outdated furnishings and poor service really took away from the experience. Additionally, the dining options left much to be desired, and the handling of my belongings was far below the standard expected. Overall, it didn't feel like a luxurious stay, and I wouldn't recommend it for the price paid.

I had a very mixed experience at this hotel. The location is wonderful, providing a tranquil atmosphere perfect for exploring the Blue Mountains. The rooms, although spacious and clean, left something to be desired in terms of maintenance. The facilities are excellent, but the service was hit or miss, which significantly affected my stay. Overall, while I enjoyed some aspects, I can't ignore the shortcomings, especially considering the price I paid.

Rooms

The rooms were spacious and generally clean, but they were showing signs of age with worn furniture.
Service

The service was average; check-in felt rushed and unwelcoming, and room service was notably slow despite my complaints.
Location
10.0
The hotel is in a superb location, very close to Echo Point and walking trails in the Blue Mountains.
Dining

While breakfast was delicious, the dining options were a bit lacking in terms of variety. The food quality at the hotel restaurant exceeded my expectations.

8.4/10

Lilianfels provided a great escape despite the weather being quite gloomy. The top-floor room was spacious and well-appointed, making my stay comfortable. While the dining options weren't quite to my taste, the staff were attentive and helpful throughout. It's not the cheapest option in the area, but I felt it was worth it for the quality of service and amenities.

Rooms
9.0
The room was huge and well-appointed, located on the top floor, which added a nice touch to my stay.
Service
10.0
The service was exceptional. The staff were all receptive and went out of their way to assist, which made me feel well taken care of.
Location

7.0/10

My stay was quite disappointing given the hotel's reputation. The location is fantastic, but the service was lacking, and the room left much to be desired. The breakfast was mediocre at best, and I expected more from a spa hotel. The amenities promised were not delivered, which made it hard to justify the price.

Rooms
5.0
Unfortunately, the room felt outdated and uncomfortable, with a clearly lumpy mattress pad and peeling wallpaper. It was spacious but had a musty smell that was off-putting.
Service
5.0
Service was very slow and often unhelpful, with staff seemingly overwhelmed and lacking in basic hospitality training. I was disappointed by the lack of attentiveness.
Location
9.0
On the plus side, the hotel is ideally located, just a short walk from beautiful spots in the Blue Mountains, which is a definite highlight.
Dining
5.0
The buffet breakfast was underwhelming, and with only one waiter attending to the line, it made for an inconvenient start to the day. Dining options overall seemed limited and not up to par.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were lackluster; the promised spa was more like a broom closet than a rejuvenating space. I didn't feel like I received the luxury experience that was advertised.

6.6/10

My stay at the hotel had some standout moments, but also quite a few disappointments. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the scenic lookout, and the rooms were spacious with charming decor. However, I found the breakfast experience to be quite lackluster, and the interaction with the staff, particularly the manager, left a bitter taste. Overall, it's a mixed bag, with some highlights but also significant areas for improvement.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious and charming, with very comfortable beds. However, they felt a bit outdated for the price we paid.
Service
5.0
While most staff were polite and obliging, my interaction with the manager was quite unpleasant, which overshadowed the experience.
Location
10.0
The hotel is in a perfect location, just a 5-6 minute walk to the beautiful Three Sisters lookout.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was disappointing, especially for a luxury property, and the food was not up to par. The dinner we had was much better though.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were okay, but nothing about them stood out as exceptional. The pool was nice but lacked more unique amenities.
